Water Weenies

Water Weenies is a Learn to Swim School which offers lesson for children from the age of 6 months and up.
We offer personalized lesson with a maximum of 3 swimmers per class. Children are introduced to the water in a fun-filled way in order to form a positive association with water.

This enables the swimmers to be comfortable in the water which then helps with the learning process. Babies are taught the basic survival skill of being able to go under the water, doggy paddle to the side and climb out of the water on their own.
As the children get slightly older (usually from 3 years and up) and they are able to perform all the basic skills, we are then able to teach them the different strokes.
Water Weenies also offers stroke correction for those children who can swim, but would like to focus a bit more attention to their strokes.

Instructors

Grant O'Brien is a qualified teacher with his Bachelor of Education Degree.
He is an Ex-South African swimmer who has taken his passions and applied them both in teaching children to swim. Grant has various Swimming Instructor Qualifications
which include an internationally recognised qualification for teaching both Babies from 6 months up, and Elementary Learn to Swim. Grant is fully qualified with his Level 1
First Aid Qualification.
